BRITT STARTED IN “THE BIZ” at 19 as an intern at Henderson Advertising in Greenville, SC, his hometown. There, important tasks included indicating type on tissue and resizing elements with a stat camera, so that he could paste up comps on Letramax boards. That was 1991 (doing the math?). Since then, he moved to Memphis to Atlanta to St. Louis to Chicago to Los Angeles, along with some gigs in New York, LA and Amsterdam in between. Change and movement is a prerequisite in the business, and if you would have told him four years ago that he’d be doing the HTML development of this very site, he would have wondered aloud what learning the code has to do with being a great creative.

Now, Britt espouses 360º creative capability: from all things digital to traditional, and from writing to design to strategy. This has yielded remarkable results and awards most recently as a Creative Director at Neighbor Agency in Santa Monica, and previously at JWT, Euro RSCG and others.

While Britt still passionately pursues paradigm shifts in marketing, he enjoys other interests such as his own iPhone app, sreenwriting, wine tasting, and custom furniture design. Perhaps an old stat camera would make an interesting table.
